Once you have selected the post you want to promote, click on the icon on the sub right corner or “Next” to proceed further.

Step-3: Select your target from the list options. Select “More Profile Visits Only” if you want people to watch more of your videos and follow you.

If you want more people to drive more traffic to your website, select “More website visits”. You will then be given the option of adding a link to your website and a call to action in your post.

Then, click on the icon or “Next” in the top right corner to proceed to the next steps.

Step-5: Toggle the sliders to choose the amount you want to spend to reach your post ( Budget ) and how long the promotion should run. Click on the icon or “Next” in the top right corner to proceed.

Step-6: In this last step, you will be able to review your post. If your account isn’t linked to a Facebook business, you’ll need to add a payment amount in the “Payments” section before proceeding. Next, select “Create Promotion” and you are done!

Once you’ve created a promotion, your post is labeled as “under review”. Once your promotion has been accepted by Instagram, you’ll get a notification in your feed. Once the ads have started running, you can use the Ads button on your post to see how the promotion is performing.

How to promote Instagram Stories?
You can promote Active Stories and Stories that are shown in your Highlights. However, keep in mind that you can only use certain tappable elements such as hashtags, mentions, polls, and location tags. Stories containing GIFs, emoji, music and similar elements are not eligible for Instagram promotion.

Step-3: Next, select your target audience for your promoted story. If you choose “Automatic”, your posts will be targeted to people who have accounts linked to the profiles of your current followers.

Step-4: Toggle the slider to select the amount you want to spend promoting your Instagram Stories (Budget) and the number of days the promotion will run (Duration). Next, click on the icon or “Next” in the upper right corner.

Step-5:
In this last step, you will be able to review your Instagram Story promotion. If your business account isn’t linked to a Facebook business, you’ll need to add a payment amount in the “Payment” section before proceeding. Thereafter, select “Create Promotion” to complete the process.

Your Instagram Story Ads will run once it has been reviewed and approved by Instagram. The story on your profile will disappear after 24 hours. However, it will still run as a Promoted Story for the duration you set.
